Poland’s Optima to expand cardboard packaging output

New investment in plant Polish cardboard packaging maker has obtained a permission to increase the manufacturing capacities of its factory in Hajnówka, in the country’s eastern part.

 

As part of its expansion project in the Suwalki Special Economic Zone (SSEZ), the business will allocate some PLN 10 million ($2.5 million) to upgrade its factory, and create three new jobs, local news site Investmap.pl reported. Under the plan, Optima will buy new machinery and develop its production hall. The plant is currently operated by a workforce of 76 employees. 

 

By operating a production facility in the SSEZ, Optima can benefit from preferential tax treatment for the factory. In return, the company has to maintain a declared workforce for an agreed period of time.
