Rougier announces that the MOKABI-DZANGA forest management unit (586,330 hectares), located in northern Congo, has obtained FSC® certification following an initial audit conducted in June.
Combined with Rougier Gabon's certified concessions, this certification brings the Group's total certified forest concessions in the Congo Basin to nearly 1,500,000 hectares and demonstrates its commitment to applying the highest environmental and social standards to all its activities.
This diversification also confirms the Group's ability to replicate proven models of sustainable forest management that benefit local communities and contribute to the maintenance of forest ecosystem services, while satisfying forest product buyers in demand of traceability system that provides measurable and verifiable evidence of positive impacts.
