Advanced Industries Packaging secures FSC certification for plants

New development Packaging producer Advanced Industries Packaging has unveiled that the group’s six production facilities in the European Union have obtained FSC certification.

In a statement, the company says it aims “to enhance our environmental performance, actively obtaining new certifications”.

Last month, Advanced Industries Packaging announced that it has reached an agreement with Turkish company Karitex Tekstil to sell the group’s factory in Izmir, in Turkey’s western part. The group did not disclose the value of the latest deal.

Advanced Industries Packaging says it is the second largest paper sacks maker in Europe. The group’s production facilities in the Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Italy, the Czech Republic, and Romania are fitted with a total installed capacity to make more than 700 million sacks per year, according to data from the packaging producer.
