According to EUWID, Austrian paper producer Heinzel will continue to produce SC Paper on PM 11 at its Laakirchen mill in Austria until the first quarter of next year and then start the planned the rebuild of the machine. The postponement to September 2024 enables Heinzel to serve its SC paper customers for two more quarters. According to the company, this solution is the the best course of action in view of the current situation.
Originally, the restart was planned for Q2 2024.
With the conversion to packaging papers, the capacity of the rebuilt production line will be increased from 350,000 tpy of SC paper to 500,000 tpy of recycled fluting and testliner.
