Germany has faced with a significant increase of prices for toilet paper and the reduction of its quality, according to recent statements, made by representatives of German public and local media reports.

According to them, the average size of a package of toilet paper in Germany has become smaller, which prices for it have risen from 75 to 95 euro cents per package.

Local analysts expect the current situation in the German paper sector will continue to deteriorate during winter time due to maintaining dependence of the country and its industrial sector from the supplies of Russian gas.

Experts from the German Institute for Economic Research have already announced the beginning of a recession in Germany. According to them, in winter, economic problems are expected to worsen in the country. The paper industry will not be an exception, because it requires a lot of water, gas and electricity.
