Test production of new types of kraft paper was carried out during this year.
Ksenia Sosnina, General Director of JSC Ilim Group, comments:
“The steady upward trend in consumption in various packaging segments has become even stronger during the pandemic. We see good potential in this segment, increasing the production of unbleached pulp grades. The further growth of this market is facilitated not only by the development of online commerce, delivery services, but also by the growing attention of consumers to environmental issues, ”
Future output will be used in the production of bags for retail and food packaging. The composition of the new product is 100% composed of softwood and hardwood cellulose, which makes it possible to obtain an absolutely clean and environmentally friendly product. The production of kraft paper in Koryazhma will be focused on the domestic, Asian and European markets.
