Papier- und Kartonfabrik Varel is asking for a price increase of €60/t for all cartonboard deliveries from 1 January 2022, Euwid reports.
The adjustment will also apply to orders already placed as well as material on stock. The measure will be implemented in addition to the adjustments already made.
In particular, the cost factors energy, process chemicals, logistics as well as price adjustments for laminating papers, some of which have jumped, made this additional step necessary, according to Varel.
