The Perm Pulp and Paper Mill (PPPM), one of Russia’s leading paper and cardboard producers, plans to significantly strengthen its positions in the domestic market that will be achieved by an increase of its output and expansion of its range, according to recent statements, made by sources close to the company and some local media reports.
Last year the output amounted to 294,000 tonnes of packaging board and 263 million square meters of corrugated products and there is a possibility these figures will further grow this year.
With the commissioning of new machines, the company increased the volume of waste paper processing up to 300,000 tons per year and became me one of the largest processors of waste paper in Russia.
As Dmitry Bondarev, Production and Development Director of PPPM told an interview with the Perm-based Rifey business paper, as part of the company’s plans is a further increase of speed from 600 to 800 meters per minute already shortly.
Established more than 60 years ago, PPPM currently remains one of the largest vertically integrated pulp and paper mills in Russia.
The range of the company’s activities is wide from the collection and processing of raw materials to the production and sale of finished products.
