Leading Ukranian paper producer Kokhavinskaya Paper Mill eyes massive expansion next year

The EBRD has approved the provision of €14 million loan to Kokhavinskaya Paper Mill”, one of Ukraine's largest and pulp and paper producers this year, according to some statements, made by representatives of the factory and some local media reports.

 

It is planned, most of these funds will be allocated in the construction of a new large-scale production based on cellulose on the basis of the factory.

 

Thanks to these funds, the plant will be able to double the production of paper napkins and to complete installation of additional equipment and machinery.

 

The overall cost of the project is estimated at 28.5 million euros, which e means that the remaining funds will be allocated from the own sources of the company.

 

At present the“Kokhavinskaya Paper Mill” remains one of the largest producers of toilet paper, napkins and towels from waste materials in Ukraine, while, as part of the plans of its management, is a further increase of the share in the domestic market in years to come.

 

 

In terms of production volumes, at present the Kohavinskaya Paper Mill,

(which has been operating since 1939), remains the third largest paper producer in Ukraine after the Kiev Cardboard and Paper Mill and the VGP JSC.

 

At present the capacity of paper machines of the factory is estimated at 19,000 tonnes per year, while processing capacity - 90 million rolls per year.

 

About 40% of the output of the factory is exported to abroad. The list of major sale markets includes Czech Republic, Romania, as well as Belarus, Moldova, Hungary and the Netherlands.
