The Shklov Newsprint Plant, one of the largest paper producers in Belarus, is launching a large-scale production of base paper for decorative facing materials at its capacities this year, according to the company.
It is planned, most of future output will be supplied for the needs of the local industry laminated wood-based panels, as well as some leading producers in this field: OJSC" Ivatsevichdrev ", OJSC" Mostovdrev, OJSC" Rechitsadrev and some others.
According to an official spokesman of the Shklov Newsprint Plant, the demand for base paper from domestic wood-based panels’manufacturers is steadily growing, due to the possibility of its use as lower fastening and upper decorative layers during the production of boards.
The launch of the new production will allow Belarus to completely meet the needs of the country's woodworking industry in decorative types of paper and even to start their exports to abroad.
In the meantime, the project also involves modernization of paper machine, which was installed at the plant in 2016. That allowed to improve the quality of manufactured products and expand their range.
