Peikko Group, a leading global supplier of concrete connections, composite structures, and wind energy applications, has appointed Philippe Jost as Chairman of its non-executive Board of Directors. His term will start on January 1, 2021. Philippe Jost has been a member of Peikko’s Board of Directors since 2015 and is currently the Head of Construction at Sika Group, based in Switzerland.

Jussi Vanhanen, CEO of Vexve Armatury Group, the current Chairman of the Board of Directors, is leaving Peikko’s Board after ten successful years.

The other members of the Board continue as before: Anu Ahola, Senior Vice President, News & Retail at UPM, Morten la Cour Ørnstrand-Soborg, Managing Director of Knauf Denmark, Kasper Guldager Jensen, Senior Partner of 3XN Architects, Elmar Paananen, CEO of Troll Capital Oy, and Paul Rehn, Founder and President of Strusoft AB.

“It is a great pleasure to announce Philippe’s new role in Peikko’s Board of Directors. He is the first non-Finnish Chairman of the Board in our history, highlighting Peikko’s aim to develop its international business further in the coming years. At the same time, we are very thankful for Jussi Vanhanen for his ten years of dedication and support. In the beginning, Jussi committed himself to Peikko for 2–3 years. Luckily, the journey was a much longer one,” comments Topi Paananen, CEO of Peikko Group Corporation.

“In the decade that I have had the pleasure to serve on the Board of Peikko, the turnover of the company has tripled, and the EBITDA increased six-fold. Peikko has become the leading company in its field. At its core, this is the result of the courage and determination of the employees and owners of Peikko, who I have come to respect immensely. In ten years, I have given what I can to the company, and I am very happy that Philippe has accepted to take over the chairmanship,” says Jussi Vanhanen.

“It has been interesting to follow the development of Peikko during the past six years. Peikko has significant potential to develop its markets and operations further, and I am pleased to serve the company in a new role as a Chairman of the Board and working closer with Topi and the management team. I also want to thank Jussi for his leadership during his tenure and the fact that he played a key role in bringing me to the Board of Peikko,” comments Philippe Jost.
