Segezha Group, one of Russia’s leading timber producers, which is part of the local financial conglomerate AFK Sistema) is finishing preparations for the building of a new generation pulp and paper mill in the Russian Siberia, according to the company.
As an official spokesman of the company has said that will be an enterprise, specializing on deep wood processing for the production of cellulose and a wide range of other products for forestry industry.
It is planned to be built by 2024 in the Yenisei district of the Krasnoyarsk Territory on the territory of more than 100 hectares. This has been recently confirmed by head of the company Mikhail Shamolin (Fig.3)
The new enterprise will have the capacity to produce up to 1 million tons of white sulfate softwood or hardwood pulp per year. The new production will be 100% eco-friendly, that will be operated on the basis of natural wood raw materials with a minimum impact on the environment.
