Thai Union Paper Industrial Co., Ltd. (TUPI), ordered a folio-size sheeter from E.C.H. Will and Pemco for their site at Wangsala, Kanchanaburi, Thailand. TUPI is a company of the Siam Cement Group’s paper division, which is managed by Mr. Wichan Charoenkitsupat. Its products include coated duplex board and plaster board liner in both domestic and international markets.
The FS 2000 PRO folio-size sheeter, a joint development of the two Körber PaperLink companies E.C.H. Will and Pemco, is a 2.000 mm wide sheeter. Equipped with the patented PRO technology for mark-free sheeting of sensitive paper and board grades, it ensures the highest level of productivity and end-product quality. Furthermore, automatic non-stop splicing and the non-stop pallet change systems both increase productivity by eliminating the need to stop the sheeter for reel or pallet changes respectively.
On their new sheeter #5, which will be delivered in October 2011, TUPI will cut coated Duplex board with grades from 170 gsm to 500 gsm. The FS 2000 PRO will add an additional capacity of 60,000 tons of coated board per year to TUPI’s Wangsala mill. Production start is scheduled for June 2012.
"With the new FS 2000 PRO folio-size sheeter TUPI will be able to enhance their productivity and to satisfy the growing need for high-quality coated papers, thus it will help to strengthen TUPI’s market position in Thailand and Asia," says Lee Sleiter, President of Pemco Inc.
"The FS sheeter combines the best of the experience and know-how from both E.C.H. Will and Pemco – TUPI will profit from that," underlines Klaus Aarestrup, Chairman of the Management Board of E.C.H. Will.
