Turkish company AK Gida has ordered a new 5.5 wide combining line for its Pamukova mill from PMT Italia. The machine will run at up to 1800 m/min. Start-up is set for the second quarter of 2011.
The machine will be equipped with three unwind stands and a slitting section with 24 independently-driven knives. Its rewinder will feature a sliding drum system for better winding control and vibration reduction at higher speeds. PMT's scope of supply includes electric drives, all motors and the trim removal system.
