Marin’s International, involved in foldable instant displays, and MeadWestvaco (MWV), have announced an expansion of their longstanding global strategic relationship. Marin’s now licenses five nonexclusive converters in the U.S. to manufacture and sell its LAMA displays – all of which will feature MWV’s Custom Kote paperboard.
"To ensure Marin’s consistency in producing the LAMA across our global network, it was essential that we require our new licensees to use MWV’s Custom Kote paperboard," said Scott Carter, Vice President U.S. Operations at Marin's International. "Custom Kote is the ideal paperboard for our displays. It is flexible enough to fold and curl the way we need it to, regardless of the grain direction, yet is has the strength to be reused multiple times. Custom Kote also has a surface that allows for superior printing, high impact graphics and resistance to humidity and damage, making it the clear paperboard choice for LAMA’s worldwide."
Through Marin’s new North American licensees, customers can now go directly to manufacturers providing the full line of premium LAMA displays. As the global leader in pointof purchase (POP) and point of sale (POS) displays and the creator of the LAMA, the world’s first patented paperboard self-erecting display system, Marin’s products are used in a variety of settings by many of the world’s leading brands including Johnson & Johnson, Unilever, Ford and Garmin. LAMA’s ability to open automatically into position offers distinct advantages over customary large format displays. Conventional POS displays are costly to ship, cumbersome to set-up and in many cases nevereach the retail floor. Marin’s designed the LAMA to ship flat at minimal cost, open quickly, without complicated instructions.
"It’s an honor to be the recommended paperboard provider to LAMA" said Zack Smith, general manager, MWV Food Packaging. "Throughout our longstanding relationship with Marin’s we have worked together
to provide LAMA users with the highest quality displays. We look forward to continuing this tradition of high customer satisfaction with Marin’s and their growing global network, for many years to come."
