Sappi Fine Paper Europe will increase prices for its Solid Bleached boards by 100 Euro per ton for deliveries as of 15 Oct 2010. The price rise includes all its European and overseas markets and follows an increase earlier in the year and continued strong demand for these products.
"Our first price rise has barely compensated for the extraordinary cost increases" says Gregory Gettinger, Director Specialities at Sappi Fine Paper Europe. "The upwards trend of cost increases in oil related additives, starches and wood is having a serious effect on our margins and makes our latest price increase unavoidable."
Sappi's specialities sales force will be contacting customers shortly to discuss the implementation details.
