ECO2 Forests appoints new CEO

ECO2 Forests Inc. has recently announced current COO Ray Smith has been promoted to the position of Chief Executive Officer.

ECO2 Forests' Martin Tindall made the announcement today noting the relative ease at which the decision was reached given Ray Smith's credentials, passion and performance since his initial appointment in October 2009.

"Ray has not only been an integral senior executive of ECO2 Forests since he joined us in October 2009 but has provided tremendous leadership and direction that guided our Company through these formative years," Tindall said.

"The decision to appoint Ray as CEO of ECO2 Forests was one that was easy to make as he has demonstrated every attribute we aspire to have in our CEO; integrity, business excellence, vision, innovation and calm leadership."

Ray Smith is a highly experienced and successful executive manager skilled in all areas of senior executive leadership and management. He has followed a distinguished career in the Australian Regular Army with a string of successful senior positions in the private sector where he has held CEO and General Manager positions in the government, transport, consulting, education, service, marketing, engineering, telecommunications, warehousing and distribution sectors.

Ray Smith is well qualified to lead ECO2 Forests into its next phase of development. Complementing his broad experience are multiple degrees in business, management, project management and international relations.

"The combination of his impressive academic, professional and military background and his exemplary performance since joining ECO2 Forests all speak mountains for his character and abilities and we are excited to announce and welcome him to the position of CEO today," Tindall said.

"I look forward to leading ECO2 Forests as it moves to deliver projects in various parts of the world and in particular in delivering value to the many valued shareholders who have invested in the Company during its formative stages. As it now positions itself to expand its projects, a hallmark of its activity will be the many opportunities it brings to the people in the project areas. Of course, the continuum of environmental benefits generated by ECO2 Forests projects remains significant, and will continue to deliver an improved economic and environmental circumstance to future generations," Ray Smith said today.

"We will continue to refine the organization to ensure it is well positioned to take advantage of the many new opportunities that are presenting themselves and to ensure ECO2 Forests is a leader in its field," continued Smith.

Ray Smith will assume the position of CEO effective immediately.
