SCA selects new Servo-glue system

JD engineers bv recently announced that SCA Packaging Hövelhof in Germany has installed a Servo back-finger and glue system on a Tanabe 1650 speciality folder gluer

The boxplant made the decision to invest in this new system because the spare parts for the existing control system on their machine were no longer available. The operators also noted that the machine was not as accurate as it had been, due to the older technology.

The JD servo back-finger and glue control also has an option for jam detection, length control and press conveyor control. More options can be integrated in the same control and all settings can be memorised. SCA Hövelhof came to this decision because they needed an extra back-finger shaft and also more hot-melt and cold glue capacity.
