Although the number of actual paper manufacturers exhibiting at the show was slightly lower than last year, the overall number of visitors and exhibitors increased. Detailed discussions were enjoyed with both exisiting customers and partners and a good many new contacts were made.
One particular product highlight was Z-Evolution, a newly-developed high-performance inkjet paper that has been specially developed for drop-on-demand printers and whose coating also allows it to be used on 4-colour offset systems. A second major focus was Z-Release, a special paper coated on both sides that is fully compatible with all standard silicone systems and thus predestined to be a base paper for label applications. Training sessions were offered for both paper qualities during the course of the trade show.
