Bolloré Thin Papers has begun the practical work of overhauling its IT system by installing the initial Optivision modules on its two production sites, PDL (Papeteries du Léman) and PDV (Papeteries des Vosges).
The first phase consisted of the implementation of the “order to cash” module, including supply chain and production management. Through the simplification of procedures, information within the company has become more visible.
Bolloré Thin Papers now plans to bring the procurement management module (MRP) on stream, which will seal the integration of supply chain into the new system. Implementation of the cost price calculation and analysis “costing” module is also planned for 2010.
Through this significant investment (€1,200,000), Bolloré Thin Papers is looking to improve its customer service by being ever more responsive and transparent and reducing its logistics costs (storage, transport) and production costs (loss of width, KC rates).
