Asia Pulp and Paper (APP) based in Indonesia and China, wants to become established in the Nordic region. The Group is said to now be looking for plants for sale in Finland.
The Group wants to enter the European market and it is thought Finland is the desired location having had a sale office there previously. It has been reported that APP was involved in the bidding when M-real sold its Graphic Paper business area to South African Sappi just over a year ago. The mills included the Kangas and Kirkniemi in Finland, Stockstadt in Germany and Biberist in Switzerland.
