Amazonas Florestal appoints Bruce W. Barren CEO

Amazonas Florestal, a natural resources company generating profit through innovative, has appointed Bruce W. Barren as the Company’s new Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer. Bruce brings more than 40 years of experience in directing public companies.

As previously announced Amazonas has been pursuing several initiatives for revenue growth in the fields of forest products and the preservation of the natural habitats and environment contained in company owned lands.  

The appointment of Mr. Barren represents the first step in this process.

Mr. Bruce W. Barren, CEO, stated, “I am very excited to have been given this opportunity. The company management has been restructured and our new team of proven and effective operators will now work together to achieve the companies projected organizational growth."

Mr. Barren will replace Michael Ibar as CEO of the company.  

Mr. Barren is group chairman of The EMCO/Hanover Group, which since its inception in 1971, has concluded more than $3+ billion in financial transactions worldwide as international merchant bankers, representing more than 1,000 separate corporate transactions.
