ProJet, Meerssen, The Netherlands and Williamsport, PA, USA won a tender for the supply of 7 new high pressure showers, which will be delivered to the new green field project of JK Paper, in Gujarat, INDIA.
JK Paper Ltd. has two large integrated paper manufacturing units – JK Paper Mills, Rayagada, Odisha and Central Pulp Mills, Songadh, Gujarat with a combined capacity of 4,55,000 TPA. It is the market leader in Branded Copier paper segment and among the top two players in Coated Paper and high-end Packaging Boards.
Its products are sold through extensive distribution network of 188 wholesalers, 10 depots & 4 regional marketing offices, and covering nearly 4,000 dealers. It offers a wide product range and its brands are synonymous with premium quality paper.
ProJet will supply a total 7 high pressure showers for all Press Felts and Forming Fabrics for a new paper machine, to be supplied by Valmet and Leshan. The new machine will produce Coated Board at an average width of 4000mm and an average speed of 1000m/min. JK Paper is looking to equip more of their existing machines with ProJet showers and also looking to purchase Tail Cutters for Dry End and Wet End, which are also supplied by ProJet.
The ProCleaner Type F (Forming Fabrics) and Type P (Press Felts) use a single traversing head that cover the felts almost three times as fast as the existing conventional oscillating showers. Furthermore, SCG expects to achieve substantial water savings because the ProJet Cleaner uses only 1.3gpm (5.0litre/min) of water; a conventional shower consumes over 40gpm.
Delivery of the Cleaners is scheduled for Q3, 2020.
