Swiss packaging group to invest €180M in new Chinese plant

Swiss packaging maker SIG is launching construc-tion work on a new plant in China under a project worth about €180 mil-lion.

 

Under the plan, the new facility will be located in Suzhou where the Swiss manufacturer already operates a factory, according to the information ob-tained by French industry publication Emballages Magazine.

 

The Swiss group says it produces some 35 billion carton sleeves per year, and offers more than 270 packaging solutions to its customers. SIG re-ported revenues of about €1.7 billion for last year, according to data re-leased by the business.
