Czech paper machine maker launches Italian plant

Czech paper machine producer Papcel has opened a new production facility in Cuneo, in Italy’s northern part. The plant was fitted with a total surface of 120,000 sq. m., of which 70,000 sq. m. were allocated for production and storage.

 

The factory will have a production capacity of 5,000 standard horus this year, and in 2016, this is expected to increase to as much as 25,000 standard hours, the company said in a statement.

 

Based in Litovel, Papcel says it has been producing machines and technological equipment for the paper industry for 65 years, and it is operated by a workforce of about 250 employees.

 

The firm’s product range consists of paper machines for different paper grades with wire width of up to 7.500 mm and an operating speed up to 1.200 m/min, enabled to produce packaging papers, coated/uncoated cardboard, decorative papers, cigarette papers and tissue paper, according to data from Papcel.
