Polish manufacturer Ecolette sp. z o.o. has unveiled plans to invest PLN 15 million ($4.8 million) with the aim of setting up a new plant in Łapy, in Poland’s eastern part. The factory will make cardboard pallets.
The facility will be fitted with two production lines. In the first phase of the investment, it will make some 1.5 million pallets per year for both domestic and foreign-based customers. The first production line will be operated by a workforce of 30 employees which are to be recruited locally, the municipal authorities of Łapy said in a statement.
Under the plan, the firm will begin the construction works on the plant, which is to be fitted with a production surface of 3,000 square metres, in the first quarter of 2016, the statement said. Production is scheduled to be launched in 2017.
