Operations have commenced at a new recycled household paper mill recently constructed in Fuji city, Japan for JP Corelex Holdings, a consolidated member of the JP Group.
The new mill was constructed with three major themes in mind; productivity, the environment and disaster management for the local region. In its pursuit of improved productivity, the new mill has adopted state-of-the-art energy efficient equipment to improve quality and increase production efficiency. Environmentally, the new mill will work in conjunction with the Corelex Group’s San-Ei Regulator - Tokyo Mill to achieve the maximum possible reduction in waste and create a quasi-zero emission system as part of its efforts to reduce its environmental footprint. Furthermore, a disaster management agreement was signed with other entities, including the city of Fuji and JR Tokai that will see the mill also function as a refuge shelter for local residents and people who are unable to return home after natural disasters.
The total investment in the new mill amounts to JPY12billion. The mill will have a production capacity of approximatively 150t/day.
