Hungary has initiated an anti-trust investigation into seven sellers and distributors of sanitary paper products suspected of price collusion.

According to Hungary's competition authority GVH (Gazdasági Versenyhivatal), the anti-trust investigation involves Hungary's Vajda Papir and Hungarian subsidiaries of SCA Hygiene Products, Tesco Global, Auchan, Spar, Metro and DM-Drogerie Markt. GVH has concerns that market prices for certain tissue paper products may have been changed through alleged anti-competitive behaviour, including direct and indirect negotiations on price increases and  exchange of pricing information.
