Mondi to permanently close Finnish kraft paper mill

Mondi Group has announced plans for the permanent shut-down of the Lohja specialty kraft paper mill in Finland.

Mondi cites the site's prolonged poor financial performance as the reason for the planned shut-down. According to Euwid, the closure will affect a total of 170 people.

The Lohja mill near Helsinki Mondi produces coated and uncoated machine-glazed specialty kraft papers for the release liner markets and for the medical, food service and food packaging industry.
