Menasha Corporation has acquired Canada’s PearceWellwood for an undisclosed sum. The Ontario based company will operate as part of Menasha Packaging Company.
“The acquisition of PearceWellwood provides Menasha Packaging Company a foothold in Canada to better serve new and existing major consumer packaged goods customers located in the region with expertise in display design, manufacturing and fulfilment,” said Jim Kotek, President and CEO, Menasha Corporation.
In addition, Menasha also acquired a 33 percent interest in Tencorr Packaging, a corrugated sheet manufacturer, from PearceWellwood’s parent company, Pearce Group.
Mike Waite, President, Menasha Packaging, said, “Acquiring PearceWellwood allows Menasha Packaging to not only expand geographically in Canada with an established facility and manufacturing operation, but to do so with a reputable company that operates with a similar business model and value system.”
PearceWellwood designs and manufactures corrugated displays for the retail industry and offers fulfilment and distribution services.
