Woodland Pulp recently started construction of its new St. Croix Tissue plant in Baileyville, Maine. Following a ground-breaking ceremony governor Paul LePage said, as quoted by Bangor Daily News, that this is “an enormously great day for Washington County,” one of Maine’s poorest counties.

The business unit represents a $120 million investment. The plant will operate two tissue machines, employing an additional 80 people.
