Ahlstrom will transfer information technology operations to Tech Mahindra, a global company specializing in digital transformation, consulting and business re-engineering solutions.
This move is part of the ongoing rightsizing program aimed at saving a total of EUR 39 million annually in continuing operations by the end of 2015.
Kristiina Lammila, Vice President, Information Solutions, Ahlstrom, said, “This agreement marks a new phase in the management of our IT services. The arrangement will allow us to build more harmonized IT portfolio at a lower cost. In addition, it provides interesting career and professional development opportunities for the people being retained at Ahlstrom and for those being transferred to our alliance.”
The planned transfer is expected to take place on 01 December 2014.
