Euwid Pulp & Paper reports that Accrol Papers, a British tissue converter, plans to build its own paper mill in Blackburn.

The company has revealed a £66m deal with private equity firm NorthEdge Capital. Commercial Director Tim Bullough said, as quoted by Euwid: "This will accelerate our plans, one of which is a paper mill. We would endeavour to locate the paper mill as close as possible to our current converting facilities. Furthermore we have made a senior Board appointment and he will take up his position shortly and will head up the Mill project. At this stage we are considering a 5.5 m wide machine."

Accrol Papers manufactures household and away-from-home tissue products for a range of leading retailers and service providers.
