Arkhangelsk PPM, Russia's largest producer of packaging board, has officially commissioned a plant for the production of corrugated board in the city of Istra (Moscow region). Total volume of investments in the project amounted to 2.5 billion rubles (USD$70 million), according to the press service of the company.
According to the company, the implementation of the project is very urgent, due to the ever growing consumption of corrugated packaging in Russian European part, where the country’s largest food enterprises and other major consumers of corrugated packaging are located. At present, the Russian market for corrugated products amounts to 4 billion square meters per year.
