Layoffs are set to begin at the Boise Paper mill in International Falls today. Boise spokesperson, Lori Lyman, said they will be laying off 200 employees starting Sept. 30. The company will shut down two of the mill's four paper machines, along with an off–machine coder, this weekend.

Lyman said the machines they're shutting down are outdated and not cost effective to run.
