US containerboard production down 1.5 per cent in April

The American Forest & Paper Association in its April 2013 U.S. Containerboard Statistics Report said that containerboard production dropped 1.5 percent over March 2013 but rose 4.2 percent over the same month last year.

The month-over-month average daily production of containerboard increased 1.8 percent.

The containerboard operating rate for April 2013 gained 1.5 points from March 2013, from 92.8 percent to 94.3 percent.
