German Metorg has signed an agreement with the Arkhangelsk pulp and paper mill, one of Russia’s largest pulp and paper producers, on the supply of new equipment for the production of notebooks and other paper products.
The project is expected to be completed by April 2013. In addition to production, the new equipment will help to increase the volume of paper processing. The new machine will allow to produce notebooks of usual formats.
Arkhangelsk PPM currently remains Russia’s largest producer of exercise books with the volume of production of 178 million in 2011. The share of the company in the Russian market is estimated at 25%.
Arkhangelsk Pulp and Paper Mill was founded in 1940, is one of the leading wood chemical enterprises in Russia and Europe. The company specializes in the production of paperboard, pulp, fiberboard, paper and paper stationery products.
At the end of 2011 the company was Russia’s biggest producer of container board, and the second - in terms of pulp processing.
