Eldorado Celulose e Papel starts up world’s largest pulp line

Eldorado Celulose e Papel has started up the world’s largest single-line pulp mill at its Três Lagoas mill in the Brazilian province of Mato Grosso do Sul. After completion, planned for late 2012, the mill will have a capacity to produce 1.5 million tons a year of bleached pulp.

This  output – the raw material for which will be wood from planted eucalyptus forests, which is a 100% renewable source - is to be exported to paper producing markets in South America, North America, Europe and Asia.

The estimated investment of R$ 6.2 billion involves the best available technology and project management focused on the sustainability of industrial and forestry processes. Eldorado Celulose e Papel
