Chinese Development Bank to provide more than USD$348 million in the modernization of the Dobrushskay paper mill, one of Belarus largest pulp and paper producers, according to PR-Department of the Ministry of Economy of Belarus.
The project involves the installation of the cardboard machine with the capacity 200,000 tons per year, which will produce two types of cardboard: SBB (for the production of Tetrapack packaging) and FBB (for printing, pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries).
There are also plans for the launch of production of bleached chemi-thermomechanical pulp, as well as reconstruction of water treatment objects and sewage treatment plants.
The project is export-oriented, with 70% of the finished products are expected to be supplied to foreign markets. Payback period of the project 13 years, while return on sales - about 19%.
Currently Dobrushskay paper mill remains one of the largest paper mills in Belarus. It produces about 90 kinds of products, including paperhanglng, offset, drawing, writing, drawing and consumer goods (school notebooks, general, drawing, sketch blocks for painting and drawing, etc.).
