First full-scale plant for green liquor filtration in the world

Munksjö Aspa Bruk AB will install the first full-scale plant for green liquor filtration in the world based on the unique method developed by the Clean Flow AB. The process has been successful in operation and evaluated for two years at Aspa mill.

The Värmland company Clean Flow’s patented methods for efficient purification of green liquor that increases capacity and reduces energy and chemical consumption in the pulp industry has been in operation at a pilot plant at Aspa Bruk outside Askersund for two years.

The technique creates entirely particle-free green liquor during the manufacturing process.

“We have now decided to install the first full-scale plant for Clean Flow green liquor filtration in the world, based on the latest technology. We have been very pleased with the cooperation and this is the next step” says CEO Bengt Lindqvist.

“Commissioning of the full-size plant will take place in December 2012 and we have a number of enquiries for installations in Sweden” says CleanFlows CEO Lennart Källén.
