Toscotec announces that it successfully started-up a TT SYD (Steel Yankee Dryer) installed at Nishinihon Eizai Company's tissue mill in Tatsuno-cho (near Osaka), Japan.
The new TT SYD-12FT replaced the mill's old 12 FT Cast Iron Yankee on PM2.
After start up, the machine speed was increased by 18% with substantial energy savings, Toscotec said.
Nishinihon Eizai was founded in 1963. The mill houses five paper machines and produces 2,500 tons per month of toilet roll and tissue towel made from 100% waste paper.
