The Slovenian paper company Radece Papir, specialized in banknote and security paper, is insolvent. In December, the company failed to secure a much-needed loan to support the production of its new paper machine, launched last year. But the severe financial situation is also due to extended machine downtime as well as soaring cotton linters and pulp prices.

Radece Papir operates two paper machines and employs a total of 372 people. They can produce up to 8,000 tpy of banknote and security papers as well as 30,000 tpy of printing and writing papers.
