The European Commission has given green light to the Spanish group Unipapel to purchase the business of the Spicers group in Continental Europe for €192 million, without imposing any type of condition or restriction.
With this acquisition from DS Smith, Unipapel plans to increase the value of its sales to €1.3 billion. The group has emphasized that this incorporation will have a very favorable effect on profitability and cash flow, as it will generate an EBITDA margin of over 7%.
Unipapel will also add 25,000 new items to its product portfolio and increase the number of clients served by 15,000.
