Kastamonu completes PEFC certification of responsible forest management

Kastamonu wood processing plant in the Alabuga, Russia, has successfully passed through the certification for compliance with the requirements of the PEFC forest certification system.

PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification schemes) is a voluntary confirmation of compliance providing guarantees that wood products are produced from objectively certified forests in accordance with pan-European criteria and requirements.

Being a responsible forest user, Kastamonu not only itself passes environmental certification, but also regularly works with suppliers of raw materials, prompting them to become more actively involved in this process.
