Sappi put up with a strong squad on this year's PulPaper. Besides the all high ranking speakers, the company introduced the second-generation Sappi Seal, described as a flexible packaging paper with improved sealing properties and increased durability.

"Sappi Seal is designed to replace plastic hot-dip laminate with materials that contain a high proportion of renewable raw materials," explained the company's representative at PulPaper Fair, Rauno Timperi.

A single-sided coated flexible packaging solution is used in the food and non-food sectors where hot seal properties are required, including primary packaging (such as bags) and secondary packaging (eg candy, toys or DIY goods).

The packaging paper is also designed to provide protection against water vapor and is recyclable according to the Waste Ordinance.

- The homogeneous and light surface gives good printability and surface treatment with all the usual finishing techniques. Its natural appearance and nice feeling appear as an eye-catching brand, said the company's representative.

Sappi Seal is available with FSC or PEFC certification and was manufactured in accordance with the requirements of recommendation BfR XXXVI (Federal Institute for Risk Assessment). The paper is available with a grammage of 67 g / m2.
