Corenso announces the completion of the latest in a series of investments in its core converting operations in Germany. The core plant in Krefeld is now equipped with a new in-line highspeed multi-knife cutting system which will enable it to better meet the ever-increasing quality requirements of customers, especially those in the film and flexible packaging markets. The additional capacity and flexibility created by the installation of the new cutting system is also expected to deliver benefits in other areas and enhance our ability to deliver customized high performance cores to both current and new customers.
The investment in the in-line multi-knife cutting system has been made to support Corenso’s plans for future growth in Europe and as part of a multi-year investment program for the expansion of its core converting businesses worldwide. This investment is part of Corenso's global initiative to improve efficiency in all production facilities.
Last year Corenso announced the completion of a major program of investment in its research and development centre located in Krefeld, Germany.
