Andritz has reported a net income of EUR 130.8 million in the first half of 2017. The company’s sales amounted to EUR 2779 million, up 0.6%, compared to EUR 2761.2 million in same period last year. The order intake grew 8% to EUR 2771.3 million owing to Pulp & Paper business unit.
“We are satisfied overall with developments in the first half of the year, even though we were not able to reach all our targets in our business areas. As far as the markets we serve are concerned, we do not expect any substantial changes in project and investment activity for the remainder of the year,” said, Wolfgang Leitner, President and CEO, Andritz.

The sales of Pulp & Paper business unit grew to EUR 990.9 million in H1 2017 as compared to EUR 980.4 million in H1 2016. The order intake grew 22.8% to EUR 1124.9 million as compared to EUR 916 million. The order backlog increased 3.9% to EUR 1971.5 million.
Andritz has revised its sales forecast slightly for business year 2017. The company now expects a marginal decline in sales compared to 2016.
