Czech paper machine manufacturer Papcel a.s. has purchased PMT Italia SpA, an Italy-based company that owns the technology for various kinds of paper machines.
The Italian producer is operated by a workforce of more than 70 employees, according to the information obtained by local news site Prumysl.cz. PMT Italia supplies its products to the US, China and Latin American countries, among others, and has its sales repre-sentatives in Australia and the US.
The takeover is designed to increase Papcel’s presence in a num-ber of foreign markets. The value of the transaction was not dis-closed.
