K&N Paper files for insolvency

The Chemnitz District Court has opened preliminary insolvency proceedings upon the German recycled magazine and packaging paper manufacturer, Kübler & Niethammer Papierfabrik Kriebstein (K&N Paper), according to Euwid. Production operations of recycled lightweight coated (LWC) magazine paper and white-top coated testliner at the mill are continuing and customers' supplies are reportedly not affected.  

K&N Paper employs 130 people at the mill in Kriebstein, Germany. The company has one paper machine with a total capacity of 115,000 tpy of recycled LWC and white-top coated testliner.

In 2016, K&N Paper and five private investors have taken over the former Stora Enso Kabel LWC paper mill in Germany and renamed the company to Kabel Premium Pulp & Paper.
