Idempapers to hike prices for its carbonless papers

Belgium-based Idempapers has announced a price increase for its carbonless products — up to 7% on reels and 5% on sheets — effective for all deliveries from April 4, 2016. In a press release, Idempapers said, “For over a year now, raw material costs — principally pulp and chemicals — have increased significantly, largely due to the impact of foreign exchange fluctuations, and despite the price increases already implemented during the last twelve months, this escalation in costs has only been partially recovered.

“The sales team will shortly be contacting all customers to discuss with them the details of this increase.” Idempapers is located in Belgium's Walloon Brabant region. The company produces over 125,000 tons per year of specialty papers such as carbonless and one-side coated products at its mill in Virginal, and operates a logistics facitlity in Nivelles.
